HOW TO APPLY
To achieve Annie’s signature look, apply a thin coat of wax over your painted surface with a small Chalk Paint ® Wax Brush. Work in small areas at a time, wiping off any excess with a clean cloth (be sure it is lint-free!). For a distressed look, sand back to reveal a little of the wood or paint underneath before applying a second coat of wax.
First apply a thin base of Clear Wax, removing any excess with a clean cloth. Next, apply the black wax, pushing it into the paintwork to bring out brush marks and crevices. Wipe back any excess with clear wax, making sure every part of your piece has been waxed at least once.

Apply a thin coat of White Wax, removing any excess with a clean cloth. Less is more, so there’s no need to apply wax too thickly. If you do over-apply the wax, you can wipe back any excess with Clear Chalk Paint ® Wax, making sure every part of your piece has been waxed at least once.
Chalk Paint ® Wax is not suitable for outdoor use. Use Chalk Paint ® Lacquer outdoors.
After care: wipe clean with a damp cloth. For tough marks, use a proprietary spray cleaner and re-wax where necessary. Avoid cleaners with emulsifiers.

Gel Stain by General Finishes
Woodworkers love the lustrous finish that shows up when rubbing out the 2nd and 3rd coats. Gel Stains are formulated with a combination of pigments, oils, and urethanes to produce a durable and beautiful "hand-rubbed" finish.
Gel Stains are heavy-bodied, and so do not penetrate as deeply into the wood as liquid oilbase stains do. Because of this, they are often less affected by the condition of the wood, and can help you get a more even appearance on difficult woods such as aspen or pine.
Gel Topcoat may be used to top coat any stain. Although Gel Stains contain urethane, Gel Topcoat has a higher content of urethane and may be used to top coat Gel Stains for more protection.
Gel Topcoat is available in satin.
Glaze Effects are translucent water based colors used to create beautiful decorative finishes such as distressing, marble, shabby chic, burnishing, color washing, rag rolling and wood-graining.
Use over Water Based Wood Stains, and breathable paints (i.e. Chalk Paint). Glaze Effects can be inter-mixed or layered to create custom colors. They may also be layered over one another to create deeper, richer looks.
This solvent-free oil finish provides a protective, water-resistant surface. It penetrates to protect from the inside out. It can be used on new wood that is bare, stained, milk-painted or to revive old wood effects. This oil does not leave a surface film that will chip or scratch. This oil does not need to be cut with any solvents. Since there are no added solvents or dryers to this product, the drying time is longer. The oil will feel dry to the touch one day after the initial application, however complete drying can be several days. For example if there is too much oil initially applied, then small amounts of oil may rise over the first few days. This can be avoided by wiping the excess away with a cloth. If used on a floor during this time it is recommended to place some cardboard pieces where there will be a lot of foot traffic. Dirty shoes should be kept off for at least two weeks.
This oil is great for those that suffer from chemical sensitivities and can not use solvent based products. The odour of this oil is much like crushed walnuts.
This oil will darken and richen the wood with a soft luster. Generally the older the wood the more it will darken it. This will vary based on the type of wood and the age of the wood. It is highly reccomended to try a small amount on an area to find out how your project will look with this application.
Used inside this food-safe oil finish is perfect to use in the kitchen on wooden cutting boards, wooden utensils or stone. Also provides a wonderful finish for flooring * Not recommended for areas with a lot of water, such as a bathroom, kitchen or front door area unless special care is taken and extra applications are applied*
Not recommended for exterior use. This oil does not contain UV protectors, therefore the wood will age, darken and grey. This oil is a great environmentally friendly product as the hemp seeds are grown and pressed in Ontario, Canada.
100% Natural Hempseed
250 ml - Covers aprx 30 square feet
500 ml - Covers aprx 60 square feet
Coverage will vary taking into consideration what the oil is being applied to. For example, a previously oiled surface will require very little oil, where as bare wood will require more.
